5 FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK!  

"I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel, so bad!"

So, here are a few of our favorite things:

    

1.  Diet Dr. Pepper!  Yes.  That is one of my favorite things like every other week.  And....?  :)

 

2.  Watching a Jean Arthur movie:  "Adventure in Manhattan".

   

3.  My new necklace from my Secret Sister. 

4.  The snow we had this week.  Ya, we know that everyone else in the world is longing for Spring, but we still enjoy the snow! :)

  

5.  Finding the lyrics to this amazing song about our amazing God!

1.  My new "Cowgirl" boots!  An extra plus was they were about 70% off!  :)  Yep!  I'm happy!

3.  Starbucks!  'nuf said! 

 

4.  We got a few snow flurries!  Yes!  We still LOVE snow!

Ready for the weekend?  This has kinda' been a long week for us, but we're not complaining, because it was a good week!  :) 
How was your week?   Did y'all get any snow?  We had some over the weekend and pretty much everything shut down, so we had a couple of snow days!  (Remember, we live in the South!)  Church was even canceled for us, so things have kinda' been out o' whack all week.  It was fun though,  (not that we didn't miss Church, because we did) we played games, watched movies and just enjoyed the beautiful view! 
Doing anything special this weekend?  We're going to be getting ready for our Youth Valentine's party at Church!  Fun!  Busy.

AFTER LOOKING AT ALL OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS FROM THIS WEEK, YOU MAY THINK WE HAVE AN EATING DISORDER.  WE DON'T.  REALLY!  WE'RE JUST HAPPY WHEN OUR TASTE BUDS ARE HAPPY! :)

1.  Blueberry bagels and layered fruit salad! 

    

2.  Snow!  

   

3.  Papa John's Pizza!  YUM!!!!!!!!!  So good!  :)

 

4.  The Thin Man!  I have got Dixie hooked on these movies.  

Suspense, Romance, Mystery, Comedy all in one!  

(the murderer is always the person you don't suspect)

  

5.  Burger King!  

Yep!  Chicken Sandwich for Dixie and cheesy tots for Dottie!  :)

5 FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK! 

"I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel, so bad!"

So, here are a few of our favorite things:

 

 

1.  Diet Dr. Pepper(Dottie) and Code Red Mtn. Dew(Dixie).  I (Dottie) never tire of DDP!  EVER! :)

 

2.  Homemade Nacho Supreme. Mm.  Mm.  Mm.  We usually have one Mexican meal a week, or shall we say "Mexican" since it's not authentic.   Can you tell I like sour cream and cheese?  :)

  

 

3.  We still have some snow!  We're pretty much the only ones on our street that do.  And....You ready for this?  We're supposed to be getting more!  Yippee!  :)

  

4.  Watching the "The Big Sleep".  If you like Humphrey Bogart or Lauren Bacall, you'll like this movie.  I did!  It's full of twists n turns and I pretty much didn't get it till the end, but I was doing a few different things at the same time too. 

 

5.  SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The perfect day to play games, watch movies and drink hot chocolate and coffee!  :) Since they're calling for snow/ice/sleet and all the above, everything is shut down down here.  It usually does in the South.  If the word "snow" is even mentioned, everyone runs to the store and buys out all of the milk, eggs, and bread.  It's kinda' funny since we grew up where you could get a foot of snow overnight and everything goes on as scheduled.

Having a good week?  We are!  We are enjoying the cold weather that God is blessing us with!  LOVE IT!!!  We know we're strange, but we're o.k. with it.  :)
A couple of Sundays ago, it was in the 70's, 70's I tell you!  That did not make us cold-loving-weather girls happy, so we improvised.  We had a Winter Wonderland Party in Sunday School to try and make up for the lack of snow and cold weather we'd been getting.  We had an indoor snowball fight, snow cones, iced cookies and sang snow songs! (Real spiritual I know, don't worry we did have our S.S. lesson!) The indoor snowball fight idea came from Ashley Phipps at Simply Designing.  We wanted to have blue snow cones, so it would turn our lips blue as if we were really, really cold, but the store didn't have any blue raspberry kool-aid packets.  :(  The fruit punch snow cones/cups (since they're in cups) were good though.  One of the girls actually got so cold she was shivering!  Don't worry, she warmed right up after our indoor snowball fight!  
Needless to say, we had a great time!  It helped us endure the heat wave we had.  We were going to run fans and have a freeze-out, but forgot.  It's probably best that way, don't want anyone sick!

It's Friday!  (Just in case you didn't know:))  Have a good week?  Have y'all been having the roller coaster weather that we've been having? > 70 degrees on Sunday, flooding on Monday & Tuesday and 6" of snow yesterday!  Like I said, roller-coaster!  But we don't mind the last bit of weather-SNOW!  :)  We have been anxiously awaiting for the beautifully, light, fluffy stuff, so you might hear about it for a while, since we're ecstatic!  :)  Can ya tell?  We didn't think it was that obvious! lol :)

5 FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK!

So, here are a few of our favorite things:

 

1.  The beautiful, breathtaking, gorgeous snow God blessed us with yesterday!  :)

  

2.  Little Caesar's Pizza.  Yum!  Ya, we know it's the cheap stuff....and?  :)

3.  We had a winter wonderland party in Sunday School this past Sunday.  It was 70degrees outside and we were wearing short sleeves IN JANUARY!   Insane.  So I decided we needed to "chillax" with a Winter Wonderland party!  We'll do a post on it later!  It was fun! :)

 

4.  Our Grandmother received good results back from her tests!  Praise the Lord!

5.  Drinking a good ole' cup of Hot Chocolate to get warm from the blustery cold weather. (which we thoroughly enjoy! ) Dixie had a regular cup of the warm, liquid-y chocolate and I had mine with a dose of peppermint! :) 

 

 

GUESS WHAT Y'ALL!
IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (finally!) This is our first snow of the year and winter.  We've had some white flakes fall from the sky, but nothing that amounts to the beauty of what we're getting now.   We grew up in the north, so we're used to tons of snow, which you don't get in the south.
So needless to say Dixie n I are extremely happy, excited, thrilled....you get the point.  We tried to take some pictures, but they don't do the snow justice.  It's soooooooooooooo, extremely beautifully, gorgeous and breathtaking! 
Here are just a few of the pictures that we have taken at our house.  There is more to come!

So since Christmas is like 17 days away, I thought I would share a few things that I look forward to about Christmas/winter.  O.k. maybe more than a few, it is my favorite time of year.  :)  
Here it goes!  
(These are not in any order)

1.  **Snow, snow, snow and more snow!**  :)  Even though we now live where snow is pretty much a stranger, I still love it!  I'm dreaming of a white Christmas and winter!  I have faith that we will get lots and lots!  :)

  

  2.  Celebrating Jesus' "birthday"!
