Hey y'all,

How are you this fine September day?  Doing well I hope.  Do you remember what happened 13 yrs. ago today?  It started off as any other day, but ended as a day America will never forget.

I remember...I was in my homeroom waiting for my homeroom teacher to come in, he was always late, but he had a legitimate excuse this time.  He comes in to the class and turns on his little t.v. he had mounted on the wall and showed us what was going on.  He was the only teacher with a t.v. in his classroom so we were the first students to see what was happening.  After homeroom, the whole school went to the chapel and they showed us the terrible reality on the projector screen.  I didn't understand.  I didn't know what a terrorist attack was.  I didn't think things like that happened in America.  I was naive.

Now I know what a terrorist attack is.  I found out things like that do happen in America.  I'm not so naive anymore.   But I still don't understand, nor will I ever.

Many people turned against God that day.    I hope those that turned against Him will find their way back and forgive Him.  He wasn't the terrorist.  He didn't blow up all those people.  He didn't take away people's loved ones.  The terrorists did that.  Could God have prevented it?  Of course.  But He didn't.  Just like He didn't prevent His Son, Jesus, from dying on the Cross.

Many people turned to God.  I have heard many testimonies of people who trusted Jesus as their Saviour because of that day.  I have also heard testimonies of people who gave their lives back to God because of that day.   Then there are the one's who'd already put their trust in God and were living for Him, but this day made their faith in Him stronger.

America had a rude awakening that day - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  But God is still God.  He still saves.  He's still gracious.  He's still merciful.  He's still everlasting.  He's still all powerful.  He's still in control.  And He still loves you!  Let's make our faith stronger each and every day.  Don't wait till a tragedy happens.  It might be too late.  Have you trusted Jesus as your Saviour?  If so, then do you know God as a person?   Don't just know Him as your Saviour, know Him as your friend.  He loves you like you were His only child and wants a personal relationship with YOU!   Make God your friend.  TODAY!   He's the best Friend you'll ever have!

What were you doing that horrible day?  What do you remember about September 11, 2001?

SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey y'all
Here is the bulletin board I put up for Easter.  Sorry it's late, but it the truth is the same either way.
Not only did Jesus die for my sins, but He arose!  If He hadn't risen, Salvation would not be possible.
Hallelujah, Christ arose!
Hope y'all had a Happy Easter!

I love the song "Because He Loved Me".  That's where I got the idea for the bulletin board.
Here are the lyrics:

"Because He Loved Me"
verse 1
On a hill called Calvary, Jesus my Lord suffered for me.
Carried the cross all the way my sins to atone.
Then they nailed Him to a cross, great was the pain and the loss
He suffered it all, Because He loved me.

chorus
Because He loved me, my Saviour died, on the cross was crucified
No greater love for mortal man has ever been known.
Oh praise His dear name, He loved me so,

now I am His, He's mine I know
He suffered it all, Because He loved me.

verse 2
Then they carried Him away, placed Him in a lonely grave
Surely they thought that this would be the end of this man.
But on that third and glorious day,

God came and rolled the stone away,
He rose from the dead Because He loved me

Thank God, Jesus loves US!
Have a great day y'all!
SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This song has been on my heart and mind for the last week.  It's a great song with a great truth.  I hope you read the words and get a blessing out of them.  Stop and think about what a wonderful Saviour He is!  We don't deserve His love or Salvation, but He gives us both!  All we have to do is accept them!  Praise the Lord!

“What a Saviour He is”

VERSE 1:
Sometimes does it seem, too good to be true
That God’s only Son lived and died just for you
Is it hard to believe that His love’s really there?
In spite of your sin He continues to care.

CHORUS:
I don’t know what a sinner you are
But I know what a Saviour He is.
I don’t know where your feet have taken you
But His climbed up Calvary’s hill
I don’t know what kind of words you’ve spoken
But His Words were Father forgive
I don’t know what a sinner you are
But I know what a Saviour He is.

VERSE 2:
Sometimes does it seem, you’ve wondered so far
You’ll never get back to your place in His heart.
Don’t you know what He waits for the sound of your prayers
Just whisper His name and you’ll find that He’s there.

BRIDGE:
What we are is not what matters
But what He is to us
Who we are is not important
But who we choose to trust
Chorus:

Have a great day y'all!
SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eight years ago today, I made the biggest and best decision of my life.  I trusted Jesus Christ as my Saviour!  The same day, at the exact same time, my little-big, brother (He's younger than me, but much taller.) excepted Jesus as his Saviour.  How awesome is that?  I not only got saved and now have a spiritual birthday, but I get to share it with my brother; who is not only my brother by birth, but now we are brother and sister in Christ!
You can read the whole story here.

When is your spiritual birthday?  Do you have one?  If you don't, this link will explain how you can know Jesus as your personal Saviour too!

Hope y'all have a great day!
SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"He Set Me Free"
(verse 1)
Once like a bird in prison I dwelt
No freedom from my sorrow I felt
Then Jesus came and listen to me
And glory to God He set me free

(chorus)
He set me free, yes, He set me free
He broke the bonds of prison for me
I'm glory bound my Jesus to see
For glory to God He set me free

(verse 2)
Now I am climbing higher each day
Darkness of night has drifted away
My feet are planted on higher ground
And glory to God, I'm homeward bound

~ MEANINGFUL MONDAYS ~

Hebrews 11 continued:
   1.  Abel realized he had to trust in God for his own Salvation.  His dad's (Adam) faith could not save him.
         2.  Abel chose to trust in God's approved and              accepted plan of Salvation.  He did not try to work his own plan like his brother Cain had done.
      - Genesis 4:1-5
      - Abel could have very easily grown a garden like
Cain, but he chose to have faith & to obey.  Faith
is not believing.  Faith is obeying.
   3.  Abel's sacrifice represented the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Jesus sacrificed His perfect body and His perfect Blood for us, so we could be saved
       - Romans 5:8
       - Abel's sacrifice (lamb)represented Jesus.
         Cain's sacrifice (fruit/veg.) represented works.
    4.  Abel was saved by grace through faith just like anyone else who has ever been saved.
       -Ephesians 2:8,9
-Abel wasn't saved because he offered sacrifices,
he was saved because he believed in God.  The
sacrifices they made proved their faith.
    5.  Abel was the first murder victim.  His brother killed him.  He is in Heaven forever because of his faith.
        -Genesis 4:6-10
-Once we're saved, we're always saved.
         (Romans 6:23b; Romans 8:38&39)
     6.  Abel is the first one mentioned in Hebrews 11.
-He is still known by his faith.  We will always
be known by our faith, whether it be in God,
ourselves, or something else.  What do you
want to be known by?  Hopefully, by your faith
           in God!
     7.  Jesus made mention of Abel (Matthew 23:35; Luke 11:51)  He knows Abel by name, just as He knows everyone by name who puts their faith in Him.
          -Hebrews 12:24
    8.  Abel died because of his faith.  He wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed in, even if it was against his own brother.  We should not be afraid to stand up for God and what's right either!
         -I Peter 3:14-17
