This World War II novel puts things into a different perspective because it takes place in Ireland. Sometimes we seem to forget that World War II literally affected the world. While there were some good aspects in this book, there were things in this book that wasn't necessary. There should not be so much sensuality in a Christian fiction book. Also, the men were a bit weak and silly.

Patricia Bradley's "Silence In The Dark" is her best book yet!  A non-stop, action packed, suspense-filled, roller coaster ride of a book.  It was so hard to put down.  The characters were very well developed and each had a bit of a mystery to them, which made me keep guessing who was the guilty one.  Just when I thought I had it figured out, I changed my mind. 

"Silence In The Dark" has just the right amount of suspense and romance and they blended so well together in this book.  This one is for sure my favorite of Patricia Bradley's work. 

The characters and the story still plays vividly in my mind, even though I finished it a while ago.  I feel as if I've lost some dear friends now that I'm done reading the book.  They were so vivid!

"Anchor In The Storm"

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I do all of Sarah Sundin's books.  I loved the fact that she has a theme to the book - Jesus is our Anchor in a time of storm and how her dad gave her an anchor necklace to remind her that Jesus is our Anchor, our Hope in any storm, our Refuge.  This spoke to me so much that I bought an anchor necklace for myself.

"Sins Of The Past"

“Sins of the Past” is a three story romantic suspense novella collection.

In the first story, “Missing” written by Dee Henderson, Wyoming sheriff, John Graham, is called to Chicago when his mother mysteriously vanishes from her retirement home. Upon arriving in Chicago, John meets Lieutenant Sharon Noble who has been trying to find his mother since she disappeared. While the two try to locate John’s mother, they realize that something sinister may be at play. John learns that maybe his mother had been keeping secrets from him, which may have led to her disappearance. Will John ever be able to find his mother or will it be too late?

The second story is “Shadowed” by Dani Pettrey. Libby Jennings is in Alaska to compete in the swimming competition. When she has a day off from practicing and competing, she decides to take in a whale tour. Ben McKenna loves Alaska and enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for his hometown with others. While taking Libby for a tour on his boat, they enjoy watching the whales. But when the whales bring something up to the surface with them, Ben and Libby are surprised to discover that the whales have brought a body to the surface. After Ben rescues the body from the whales and brings the body on to his boat, Libby is shocked to discover that the body they found is actually one of her fellow competitors. Libby is determined to find out what happened to her former friend, but will she end up just like or friend or will she be able to escape?

The final installment in the collection is “Blackout” by Lynette Eason. Macey Adams once implicated in a robbery gone wrong. She has tried for years to forget what happened to her when she was a teenager, but somebody is determined to make her relive her past. Chad Latham, Macey’s neighbor, wants to help Macey in any way that he can, but she will not let him get near her. Every time somebody tries to help Macey or get close to her they end up dead or seriously injured. Macey does not want to be responsible for anybody else get hurt, so she keeps people out of her life. When circumstances throw them together, Macey may have no choice but to accept Chad’s help. Will Macey be able to let go of the ghosts from her past or will they catch up with her and destroy her and those she loves in the process?

I was so excited to read this novella collection has I love a good mystery and some of my favorite authors were involved in the collection. I did enjoy reading this book, and while there is not a definitive connection between the three books, they are connected by the title. In each book something from the past comes back to haunt female leads in the stories. As I was reading this book I was reminded of the Bible verse “…be sure your sin will find you out” in Numbers 32:23. No matter how hard we try to forget and hide our sins, they always have a way of coming back to haunt us. God will forgive us of our sins and He will help us overcome our past if we ask Him to and allow Him to help us.

This is the second book I've read by Becky Wade and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it!  I liked this story more than the last one in this series (the only two I've been able to read).  It captured my attention from page one and didn't let go!  

At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the characters or not (Dru and Gray), but they grew on me.  Dru was easier to like than Gray was.  He was a bit full of himself, which was expected.  While reading there story, I found myself wondering what was going on with Meg and her twins and anxiously awaiting any news.  The two stories intertwined wonderfully. 

However, there was some language that I didn't appreciate.  I still don't understand why Christian authors insist on adding unnecessary "colorful" words to Christian books.  

"Her One and Only" is a romantic/suspense-filled Christian fiction that any romance reader and suspense lover will enjoy!

Filled with action, intrigue and suspense, this book is a keeper!   It had me guessing up until the very end.  These are the best kind of books.  

The characters are very likable and will stick with you, as if you really know them.  Even though there are a lot more characters in this book to keep up with than usual, Dani Pettrey has a way making them their own, unique person, with their own unique story.  The romance that blooms in this book is lovely.  It wasn't a frustrated one, where they know they have feelings for each other, but for some reason think they need to resist sharing those feelings.  The relationship between Griffin and Finley was perfect!  

I love how each person has already established trust in God.  Numerous times throughout the book they had heartfelt prayers, not just a few uttered words to God here and there.  Yes, they have issues that they struggled with, but they allowed God to help them deal with them accordingly. 

Wow!  I'm so glad that I was able to review this book.  I have been wanting to read Dani Pettrey for a long time, but haven't had the opportunity.  She is definitely an author I will read from again!  I love her style of writing.  I cannot wait until the next book comes out.

Wow!  "Always Watching" is a non-stop, action-packed, suspense-filled page turner.  It was hard to put this book down.  

The stalker part was creepy, but well, stalkers usually are.  But somehow it just kept drawing you in, even if it did scare you a little.

While most of the book kept me guessing, I figured out who the stalker was half-way through the book, but the book still kept my interest.  However, I wasn't able to figure out who the other culprits were so early on in the book, but eventually I did.  I don't think that it was obvious, I just happened to figure it out. 

I love the courage of Wade's daughter and how she shined in this book.  While she suffered from panic attacks, she was able to come through when it mattered the most.

I'm really excited about this series and interested in the other Elite Bodyguards and their stories.  They kind of remind of Charlie's Angles (the originals), except there were four instead of three.  They have a closeness and almost sisterhood like relationship.  

This is definitely a series worth getting into.  I can't wait to read the rest of the series!  A must read for romantic suspense readers!

An action packed read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  

The characters are well developed, albeit the villain is creepy.  So I do not recommend reading this late at night if you want to sleep well.

If you like suspense than you will like this book that is filled with unique twists and turns.

This book will have you reading late into the night and then it will frighten you until you're awake enough to read some more.  A novel that is filled with non-stop, heart-pounding twist and turns that will keep you in suspense.  

Lisa Harris makes this book so true to life it's actually pretty frightening.  Unfortunately, the events that happen in this book actually do happen.  I'm glad that she's trying to make everyone aware of the evil that's out there and to be cautious of what you post about yourself on social media and who you trust.

If you love romantic suspense than this is definitely the book for you.  Definitely more suspense than romance, but it's still a great page turner that will stick with you long after you read it.

This book is filled with twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the end.  Just when I thought I had it figured out, I was proven wrong.  

Nancy Mehl has created some very real and likable characters in her latest novel.   I absolutely loved the reunion of Sophie and her friend from the past.  (I don't want to give any spoilers away.)  But there were a lot of characters and it was hard to keep up with them all.  I do wish that Esther hadn't disappeared towards the end of the book.  She's a sweetheart.  

While this is book three in this series, I didn't feel like I was out of the loop because I didn't read the other books.

"Mermaid Moon" is full of unexpected twists and turns.  A page turner that will keep you up reading at night. This book is filled with suspense and leave you guessing until the very end.  

This is book two in Colleen Coble's 'Sunset Cove' series.   While you won't be lost with the main part of the story, there are some characters from book one that carried over into this book.  Their story line isn't a big part of this book, but I read the first book and had already forgotten their story, so it was difficult to keep up with that part of the book.  I do recommend that you read book one first.

While I enjoyed this suspenseful story, there are some things that I'm still confused about. Mainly the criminal part.  Maybe it's just me.  It was late when I was reading the end.  Also, there seemed to be a lot of loose ends, but they could be concluded in book three.

"Falling Like Snowflakes"

This book tells a beautiful story about faith, love, family, trust and letting go of fear.  I was swept away from page one with this lovely novel.  The characters were all likable and jelled very well together.  Since this book takes place during winter and they celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, I loved this book even more!  

While you may think this book would be predictable, it isn't.  The end result was expected, but the way it came together wasn't.  

Eden had a hard life, but in this book, everything turns out perfect for her.  I LOVE books that have a happy ending.  

There was also some unexpected suspense throughout the whole book.  Looking at the cover you wouldn't think that this was a suspense book, but it was!  It was written very well! 

"Falling Like Snowflakes" would be a new favorite of mine, however, I did NOT appreciate all of the language in a Christian fiction book.  Really?  Is it necessary?  NO!  The language really disappointed me, even if it was "slang".  I especially when God's name was taken in vain.  Unacceptable.  

Hopefully the next book will be just a good of a story but without the language!

"Gone Without A Trace"

"Gone Without A Trace" is a must read for those who enjoy Christian romantic-suspense.  You will not be disappointed!  This book is filled with unexpected twists and turns that keep the pages turning.  I must say I liked this book a lot better than I liked book two.  (I didn't get to read book one.)  The characters weren't as thick-headed as in book two, well, maybe Robyn's husband was a little.  They were also very likeable and not as predictable as you would think they would be.  

Also, the characters remind us that we should always trust God and except the unexpected that He allows to come our way.  Family is important and when a family is rooted in God they will always be there for you and the be the family they should be.  Also, we shouldn't give on people, especially our family!  We may not know the whole story and our assumptions can lead to disaster. 

Just when you think you have it all figured out, you find out that you don't.  I thought for sure that I had the villain pegged, but I was wrong.  Patricia Bradley keeps you guessing until the end!

"Desperate Measure"

Sandra Orchard is excellent at writing romantic suspense novels.  This is the second book that I have read by her and I loved it!  The story picked up right where it left off in book two, with non-stop adventure and suspense.  

Although I was still a bit confused about the crime and everything that it involved, and had a hard time keeping up with who was who, I still enjoyed this book.  There were a lot of different characters and at times it was a bit confusing.  

With all of the different characters involved, you don't know who to trust and who not to.  One minute they're acting like Kate's best friend and the next you suspect them as up to something.  The only person that Kate knows she can trust is Detective Tom.  Then she doesn't trust him half the time because he doesn't tell her everything so he can protect her better.  

While Kate is a devout Christian, and everyone knows it, she didn't seem as devout as was lead to believe.  Yes, she relied on God, but almost as an afterthought.  Not until the end did they really talk about Him.  

If you enjoy reading romantic, Christian suspense, then you will enjoy this book and author.  But I do suggest reading these books in order.  They're not stand alone novels.

"Taken"

Shannon contains information about the family that held her hostage and wants them brought to justice.  Her abductors believe Shannon to be dead and she must be kept out of the press.  A difficult thing to do, considering her brother is running for governor.  

Matthew is trying to unravel the facts behind Shannon's disappearance and the trail is leading to a member of Shannon's family.

Not having Dee Henderson's previous books "Unspoken" & "Full Disclosure", I was lost in regards to some of the characters.  I would recommend reading them before you read "Taken".

O my goodness!  Lynette Eason is now one of my favorite authors.  This book was like being on a roller-coaster, non-stop adventure!  Where as most of the time the whole book being about a chase would get dull and monotonous, this one did not.  I was intrigued from the first page till the last one.  

Although, at times I was a bit confused about all of the different characters.  The story seemed to jump back and forth between so many people I couldn't keep up.  But they all tied together in the end.  

This book is for all of those who love Christian suspense with a little bit of romance thrown in there.  I will definitely read more of Lynette Eason's books!

This was my first time reading Irene Hannon and I was not disappointed.  She knows how to right a good mystery.  

The chemistry between the two main characters was obvious from the start and they didn't try to hide it.  I like the fact that she didn't drag out the "I wonder if she's interested in me/I wonder if he's interested in me" scene.  They knew that they liked each other and didn't care to admit it.  My only complaint with this was the book seemed to focus more on their relationship than the actual murder case.

The villain of this story was pretty much insane.  She may have not been diagnosed as being crazy, but the way she kept going with her awful schemes pretty much confirms it.  

This is a great romantic-suspense book.  I'm looking forward to the next book.

Wow!  I don't know where to begin.  This book was non-stop, action-packed, and filled with unexpected twist and turns.  The story line was so creative and very well written.  Where most books usually get predictable at some point, this one did not.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Inn At Ocean's Edge". 

The characters were very well developed and fit together like a puzzle.  I pretty much liked all of the characters except for the uncle and Kate's mother.  I don't think I've ever disliked a character so much before.  I have no idea how a she could be so callous.  Other than her making me angry and disgusted, the characters were great.  The way that Claire kept trusting God even though she was facing some terrifying obstacles was encouraging.  We all face obstacles in our lives, though I can say mine haven't been like Claire's, but we must continue to trust God.

Since this book takes place on an ocean, I was a bit apprehensive that I wouldn't enjoy it as much, because I'm not a water person.  It was quite the opposite.  Colleen Coble has some way of writing that made me enjoy the ocean and "feel" the ocean.  

Colleen Coble is the Alfred Hitchcock of Christian fiction suspense! 

 I'm anxiously awaiting the next book!  If you enjoy romantic suspense, then you must read this book!
