(In July)

I know.  I know.  Y'all are probably thinking are they serious?  YES!  We are!  As you may have figured out by now we LOVE Christmas!  

Have y'all started watching Christmas movies yet?  We did a couple of weeks ago.  Last night we watched Hallmark's Christmas Card.  One of their best I'd have to say.   I'm sure we'll watch another one tonight.  :)

On Sunday, we (Jr. Church & Children's Church) celebrated Christmas in July.  Fun!  We watched last years Christmas play.  The kids had fun watching themselves.  Some of them were embarrassed, but they had fun.  We also made Christmas and Let it Snow cupcakes.  How could we have a party and not have cupcakes, right?  Dixie and I had fun trying out all of the tips for the frosting, so if they look strange, that's why.     

 

For our crafts, each of the kids drew an adults name and made them a Christmas craft.  I enjoyed watching and helping them make their crafts.  They really enjoyed making their crafts for the adults and did their best.  While they were making their crafts I played a Winter Wonderland DVD.  You know, the one's that show different snow scenes and play music.  Love it!  (Sometimes I just sit there and watch it, with a cup of tea or coffee of course.  So relaxing!)  When we were done, each kid took their craft to the adult they made it for.  I wish I could have taken pictures, but totally forgot.  :(

Are y'all going to celebrate Christmas in July?  Or are we the only crazy people that do that?  lol

Hey y'all,
Here are our Christmas cupcakes that we made for our Children's Christmas party at Church.  The cupcakes were just plain ole' vanilla and I swirled food coloring into them with a toothpick.  After they cooled Dixie n I took off decorating them!  We really enjoyed it.  This was our first attempt at really decorating cupcakes with something other than sprinkles.  How'd we do?  We think we did pret-ty good!

Can you believe another week has come and gone?  Fall sure is flying by huh?  Christmas will be here before we know it!  Have you started preparing for it's arrival?  Made your Christmas list yet?  :)  We're working on ours.  Yes, we still make Christmas lists.  It's just easier for whoever wants to buy us something!  :)

Hopefully, we're going to go Christmas shopping next week!  Can't wait!  :)

5 FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK!

So, here are a few of my favorite things:

1. Celebrating our sister's birthday.  Yep.  We had another birthday!  The last one for the year.  

 

2.  Playing Disney Apple to Apples with the family.  We had a riot!

 

3.  Drinking Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks! 

 

4.  Receiving cupcake calendar's from my Secret Sister.  There is 3 of them!  She sure is spoiling me!  Can you believe I enjoy baking and decorating cupcakes, but not eating them?  Strange.

   

5.  Celebrating our Pastor's (our Dad) birthday at Church.  The kids had so much fun spoiling him!  It was so cute!  Oh!  Just a little FYI, this month is Pastor Appreciation Month!

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!!!!!!! 
If you know Dixie n me, then you know that it is never to early for anything Christmas.  We listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies, go Christmas shopping, anything Christmas YEAR ROUND!  Seriously, we are Christmas crazy!  :)

So then it should come as no surprise when you hear what we did at Church yesterday.  We had Christmas ALL DAY!  I wore red, white n black with a red n white striped head band, candy cane earrings, and a Christmas lights necklace.  Dixie wore black n white with "James Penguin" earrings.  (I LOVE that song!)

We sang Christmas songs in Sunday School and Jr. Church.  We also exchanged gifts during Sunday School and they were appropriately wrapped in red n green! :)

 I made these festive cupcakes and used the adorable cupcake papers below. (notice the polka dots?) :)

We had a tree decorating contest, but first we had to find all of the decorations.  The Blue n Green team won at finding the decorations.  The Red n Yellow team (mine n Dixie's team) won for the best decorated tree! 

We also painted Christmas ornaments for our craft!
