Hey y'all,
Sorry about the lack of posts.  Life has been busy, our Mother has been sick and the computer was one the fritz for a while too.  Hopefully we'll get back in the swing of things around here.
These are some Peanut Butter Brownies I made for our Church's Homecoming.  They are my own creation!  I don't like just plain-Jane, ordinary brownies, to me they have to have nuts or something in them.  I'm strange, I know, but I'm o.k. with it.  Anyways, we didn't have any nuts, but we did have Reese's peanut butter chips!  Even better!  I made a regular fudge brownie mix, from the box.  Then I melted about 4 T. of peanut butter, mixed some very lightly into the batter, then cut the rest in with a knife, in an up-and down-swirl-like manner.  I then put them in the oven and prayed that they would turn out.  Because I mixed the pb in the batter, I was concerned it would change the way that they baked.  While checking on the brownies, I noticed the pb that I mixed in was still liquidy, but then realized it would harden once they cooled.  (which they did!)
After I took the brownies out, I sprinkled the Reese's Peanut Butter chips all over, then sprinkled Oreo cookie crumbs, (but you couldn't really taste them) and drizzled chocolate syrup over them.
Before I serve anything I make, I always taste it first.  I am not about to serve something that's going to be spat out of people's mouths.  The finished product?  DELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!  They were a hit!  There wasn't one left!  My Dad was disappointed because he didn't get more before they were all gone.
So I will definitely be making these again!  One lady at our Church said she almost took the pan to her seat so she could eat them all.
If you try these, let me know how they turn out!
Have a great weekend!

Howdy!
Y'all doing all right?  Busy getting ready for the holidays?  Have you started putting up your Christmas decorations yet?  How about Christmas shopping?  Dixie n I have been busy shopping and crafting and baking and decorating and.... J/k I think that's about it, at least, that's all I can think of for now.  Dixie's been more on the decorative side then I have.  I'm getting there though, next week at the latest!
Is anyone going to be baking cakes for the holidays?  If so, here is a super easy way to glaze your cake!  Simply get a can of frosting; remove the lid and aluminum cover (Make sure you remove all of it, you don't want sparks flying!) place in the micro for about 30 sec.  Take out and stir.  If it's not completely melted, put in for about 15 more sec.  Then drizzle over your cake 'till your hearts content!   See?  I told you it was easy!  (Careful not to POUR.  You'll get chocolate blobs)
Here is a picture of one I did a couple of months ago for our family reunion.  You may notice that the middle is kinda' chocolate filled.  That's because the frosting wanted to slide down the middle like a chocolate waterfall.  (That sounds good doesn't it?)  O well!  It was all eaten and the tray was scraped clean, so I'm guessing it was good!
If you try this, let me know how it worked for ya!

Have a great day!

~ TUMMY TEMPTING THURSDAYS ~

Here is one of my favorites.  Super quick and super easy, not too expensive either!  Can't beat that!  I know you've probably made this before, but I just thought that it was such a "delovely" meal that I would remind you of it!

FRENCH BREAD PIZZA

INGREDIENTS:
loaf of french bread
can of spaghetti sauce
shredded cheese (lots of cheese:) )
toppings
Parmesan cheese (opt.)

1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2.  Cut loaf of bread in half. (long ways)
3.  Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the bread.
4.  Spread spaghetti sauce on bread.
5.  Sprinkle lots of cheese!
6.  Add toppings of your choice.
7.  Bake for about 12-17 minutes or until top is golden brown. (You could also broil it for a few minutes to get it crispy if you like!)
8.  Cut slices to size of your choice
9.  Eat up!

This goes great with nachos!  Mm.  Mm.  Mm.  So what are you waiting for?  :)  Enjoy!
