Merry Christmas in July y'all!  Doing anything to celebrate?  We're going to watch some Christmas movies, make peanut butter balls (YUM!) and maybe play some Christmas games.  

In Jr. Church, on Sunday night, we're going to celebrate it as well.  We've got some fun things planned!  Hopefully they'll like it.  We'll share more with you after the event, when when can show you some pictures.  

Meanwhile, here are some random Christmas things we're going to share with y'all.  Hope you enjoy and maybe get some ideas you can use for your own Christmas!  :)

 

Every year for Christmas, I make my each of my immediate family members the same thing, only with their likes as the main thing.  (not sure if that makes sense)  Last year I gave them each a goodie bag with their favorite things in it.  

In each one there was 

*There favorite Bible verse in a picture with their favorite season and their "God Loves them" sign.

*a snowglobe with a picture another of their "God Loves them" signs and on the other side it said "Smile, God loves you".
*a couple of their favorite snacks
* favorite drink
*favorite Christmas candy
(needless to say the Mello Yellow in the left corner didn't fit in the bag)

I made the "These Are A Few Of Your Favorite Things" sign on the computer and glued on each one.  The tags I found online and backed them with green paper.  The "tissue paper" is fabric that I hot glued to the inside.  

This adorable snowman tissue box cover was made by our sister.  She can just look at a pattern or picture and viola!  She can make her own! 


Dixie's M&M painted ornaments.  She likes to collect M&M stuff, so she decided to make herself some M&M ornaments a couple of years ago.  Cute huh?


Our Mother made these darling, crocheted angels for Christmas presents last year.  She uses this really tiny thread.  I don't know how she does it, I wouldn't have the patience. 



I crocheted this pillow for our Grandmother a couple of years ago.  It sits on her couch year round! 



Well, our Christmas in July party is still open, even though nobody has linked up yet.  :'(

Hey y'all,

Here is a Christmas in July post for ya.  These are some signs that Dixie painted last winter.  She made the redbird one for our Mother.  She likes redbirds and decorates the dining room with them.

Hey y'all,
Did you have a good weekend?  Do anything special or exciting?  We just had a normal weekend, but it was a good one!
We wanted to remind y'all about our "Truly Blessed Tuesdays" starting back up tomorrow.  We really hope that you will join us!  It's not hard, rather easy actually.  Just count your blessings!  See, told ya it was easy!  :)
This weeks letter will be "A".  So start thinking about what God has blessed you with that starts with the letter "A".  We'd love if you'd write your own post about it, but if you can't, you can just leave your "blessings" in a comment.
 EXAMPLE:  "H": Heaven, hair, health, happiness, home.
However you want to write it is up to you.  You can show pictures, write in paragraphs or just make a list.  It's totally up to you!  We will probably do it different ways.

Hey y'all,
We trust everyone had a great Easter.  We sure did, even though it was one of the gloomiest Easter's (weather wise -rained all day), we ever remember.  But, the non-gloomy part was remembering what Easter is all about...Jesus' Resurrection! 
God blessed us with a great day at Church.  Since it rained, we had to have our Easter Egg Hunt, with the youth, in the Fellowship Hall.  Not as exciting as outside, but it was fun!
We then went to a Family Reunion!  Those are always fun!  We were a little late though, like 1 1/2 hrs. late, but there was still food left!  That never happens!  :)
That night we went back to Church and had the Lord's Supper, as well as our regular Church service.

How was your Easter?

We're going to start up our "Truly Blessed Tuesday's" again.  We are, however, going to make some changes.  Each week we will list 5 things that we're thankful for and they will all start with the same letter.
EXAMPLE:  "H": Heaven, hair, health, happiness, home.

Hey y'all!  Did you enjoy your Thanksgiving?  Did you take the time to count all of your many blessings?  God has blessed us so much we may never be able to count them all, but we should try!  After all, the more thankful you are, the more you have!  
Eat too much?  If you did, good for you!  Besides, Thanksgiving only comes once a year!

1. Popcorn Balls.  These have always been a favorite in our house.  We cannot celebrate Fall or Halloween without them.  It's a crime in our family. :)

1.  It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!  Watching this is a must!  It's a family traditions.  I am showing you pictures from my favorite scenes.  This one, along with Christmas Charlie Brown, ties for first on my favorite's!  :)

 

2.  The lovely, refreshing, relaxing, beautiful fall scented candles!  They just make me smile.  :)  Well, most of them.  Some of them just give me a headache.  Cinnamon is the absolute best!

3.  Scarecrows.  In our family, we call them "Bob's".  I don't really know why, just one of those family things. :)  Allow me to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Bob.  Aren't they so cute?
