I like this quote because it can be encouraging, but then I don't like it because it can be discouraging.  This quote can be encouraging because we can look forward to tomorrow "with no mistakes in it", as Anne Shirley says.  Then there is the reality that no one is promised tomorrow.   Proverbs 27:1 "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."  Really, all we have is today!  We shouldn't put things off 'till tomorrow or worry about tomorrow, but live today!  Isn't it nice and refreshing going to bed at night knowing that you have everything done; that you don't have anything hanging over your head waiting for you the next day?  I know at times it's just easier to go to bed and forget your "to do" list.  I am guilty of that more than my share!  Believe me! 

But on the flip side, we can look forward to a new day, because with a new day comes new beginnings!  Lamentations 3:21-23  "This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.  It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."  We are not promised tomorrow, but we can hope for tomorrow!  

God gives us new mercies everyday!  We are so undeserving of His mercies, yet He gives them to us freely!  He is so faithful!  Everyday He gives us a new beginning!  When we wake up, the day starts off like a clean slate!  Nothing is written on it.  We decide what goes on that slate.  Just think for a minute, what do you want to put on your slate?  So what are you waiting for?  Go do it!  Have a blessed day and live this day to it's fullest!
