Penny Troyer's parents treat her as if she were four years old instead of twenty-four years old. She's not allowed to go further than the front porch by herself, much less enjoy doing the things a twenty-four year woman would do. She understands why her parents are over protective. It was all because of the tragedy that happened to her sister twelve years ago. But Penny can't stand being smothered any longer. Michal is part of a traveling Mennonite evangelical family. Michal lost his leg in a terrible accident and uses his experience to inspire others.
An unexpected turn of events pushes Penny & Michael together and Michael begins to wonder if maybe it's time for him to settle down.
