"The Pelican Bride"
Beth White

Geneviève and her sister are fleeing all they've ever known and loved to come to the new world....for religious freedom.  They are heading for the Louisiana Colony and both have promised to marry men in this different new world.

Geneviève ends up falling in love with a man who is not looking for a wife and has a mysterious past.

Geneviève and her sister survived the ride on the frigate Pélican.  They survived diseases and violence, but will they survive this new life in the new world with every single man in search for a wife?  Well...almost every single man.

This book started off very interesting, but somewhere along the way I lost interest.  There were things in this book I did not enjoy reading about (like the crude way the men would look and treat the women, so I did not finish the book.

I RECEIVED THIS COMPLIMENTARY BOOK FROM BAKER PUBLISHING FOR REVIEW PURPOSES.
