Hey y'all,
Sorry about the lack of posts.  Life has been busy, our Mother has been sick and the computer was one the fritz for a while too.  Hopefully we'll get back in the swing of things around here.
These are some Peanut Butter Brownies I made for our Church's Homecoming.  They are my own creation!  I don't like just plain-Jane, ordinary brownies, to me they have to have nuts or something in them.  I'm strange, I know, but I'm o.k. with it.  Anyways, we didn't have any nuts, but we did have Reese's peanut butter chips!  Even better!  I made a regular fudge brownie mix, from the box.  Then I melted about 4 T. of peanut butter, mixed some very lightly into the batter, then cut the rest in with a knife, in an up-and down-swirl-like manner.  I then put them in the oven and prayed that they would turn out.  Because I mixed the pb in the batter, I was concerned it would change the way that they baked.  While checking on the brownies, I noticed the pb that I mixed in was still liquidy, but then realized it would harden once they cooled.  (which they did!)
After I took the brownies out, I sprinkled the Reese's Peanut Butter chips all over, then sprinkled Oreo cookie crumbs, (but you couldn't really taste them) and drizzled chocolate syrup over them.
Before I serve anything I make, I always taste it first.  I am not about to serve something that's going to be spat out of people's mouths.  The finished product?  DELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!  They were a hit!  There wasn't one left!  My Dad was disappointed because he didn't get more before they were all gone.
So I will definitely be making these again!  One lady at our Church said she almost took the pan to her seat so she could eat them all.
If you try these, let me know how they turn out!
Have a great weekend!
SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
