Hey y'all,
Yep, we're still around, just been busy with life.  Just stopping in to post some pictures of a couple Sashay Scarves I've made lately.  Ever since the first time I saw these beauties, I loved them.  Then I found out that they were knitted and was not very excited.  I don't knit, see, but that didn't stop me.  I just had to figure how to make them.  Our cousin, who is a pro at crocheting and doesn't knit either, made some and told me how easy they were.  So that was that.  I made up my mind to do it.  Let me tell ya, the first few (more like hundred) rounds were not so easy.  I did it completely wrong and kinda' just made it up as I went.  (I tend to do that a lot, but this time it didn't work so well.)  Finally, I found a how-to video that explained it well enough for me to understand it.  I'll try to get you the link in another post.  She explains it so well and goes through step-by-step!  Perfect for me!  The other videos I found already assumed I knew how to knit and that was frustrating me.
One skein makes a full scarf and they're pretty long!  The cheapest place for me to buy the yarn is Wal Mart.  Ben Franklin has more of a variety, but they're more expensive.
Anyways.  I did it!  I've already made three, but only have pictures of two.  Sometime soon, I hope to make an orange and black one.  You know, for the best baseball team in the world, the SF Giants!  :)
If you don't knit but crochet, you can still make these, but I recommend the knitted scarves.  They turn out fuller and sturdier.  I tried the crochet pattern.  It was easy, but not as pretty.
Hope y'all have a great day!
SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
