Beth Thatcher puts aside a safe, comfortable, wealthy world to travel to western Canada, to teach school to fatherless col miner's children. Her mother and sister don't think she will be able to "rough" it in the wild frontier. I enjoyed this book once I got into it. But Beth and Julie having the same names as the Characters in "When Calls The Heart" series was confusing. But I do hope this mother-daughter team write another book to let us know if Beth & Jarrick get married and to see if Beth returns to Coal Valley.
